WELCOME
Julia, Not in Paris is a lifestyle publication about finding more joy and fulfillment in the life you’re already living — and being willing to figure out what that looks like for you.
For me, it means good food, considered spaces, things worth growing, reasons to gather, and thoughtful recommendations for the things that genuinely make everyday life better.
About Julia
I’m Julia Williams, the person behind Julia, Not in Paris. And, as you may have guessed, I’m not in Paris. Instead, I live in Texas with my husband, son, and three dogs.
I work full-time in communications, but life so far has also included lobbying in Washington, D.C., farming in West Texas, and starting a specialty coffee company. Through all of it, I’ve been someone who wants to learn how to do things new things. I cook constantly, garden with abandon, love a good home project, and will research a purchase to death before I make it.
Everything you see here comes from real life: recipes I make, spaces I live in, things I grow, products I use, places I go, and occasions I actually celebrate. I’ll tell you what works, what doesn’t, and what I think is worth the money and effort.
The goal isn’t to create somebody else’s version of a good life — it’s to get better at recognizing and living your own without apology.
find out who you are
and do it on purpose.
